The Challenge
The startup needed a pricing algorithm factoring in route distance, vehicle type (bike to large truck), time-based surge pricing, weight/volume, and optional add-ons — generating accurate real-time quotes without manual intervention.
Our Solution
Pricing engine REST API integrated with a customer-facing web app. Combined Google Maps Distance Matrix, base rates per vehicle per km, surge multipliers, and add-on pricing. Fleet management backend let operations adjust pricing parameters without code changes.
The Result
Quotes generated in under 2 seconds. Algorithm captured 94% of previously manually estimated cost variables. Operations team updated surge zones independently via admin panel.
